"Pretty realistic, maybe about 80% there"
I’d say the sims felt close enough to the real test, especially with the timing and the overall layout. Maybe 7 or 8 out of 10 on realism. A handful of the questions felt a little too clean or straightforward though, not quite like the messier problems you get on the actual exam. Still useful for practice, just not perfect...

"To be fair, the study material itself might..."
To be fair, the study material itself might be totally fine, but I had a hard time getting past how annoying the platform was to use. The site felt clunky, pages loaded slower than I expected, and I kept having to click around just to find my way back to where I started. It made studying feel more frustrating than it needed to be. Overall, it just wasn’t a great experience for me

"The guarantee didn’t really reassure me..."
The pass guarantee didn’t make me feel any more confident... it just felt kind of pointless.

"I mean, the course did help me..."
I mean, the course did help me and I got some useful stuff out of it. But for what I actually used, the price felt kinda high. It’s not bad or anything, I just wouldn’t say it was the best value.

"Lessons felt a bit behind"
I’ve taken a few online courses before, so I kind of expected things to feel up to date and easy to follow. With this one, some of the lesson material felt outdated, and the updates seemed to come slowly. A few screens looked old too, which made studying more frustrating than it needed to be.

"Surgent definitely helped me cut down on..."
Surgent definitely helped me cut down on study time, mainly because it just points out your weak areas quickly. I liked not having to sit there and guess what I should review next. That said, some sections felt a little rushed, and a few explanations could’ve been clearer. It’s useful if you’re short on time, just not something I’d call amazing

"I was hoping the readiness score..."
I was hoping the readiness score would actually give me some confidence, but it barely changed and didn’t make me feel any more prepared. By exam day, I still felt lost. it felt like another automated system spitting out a number without really understanding where I was struggling.

"The instructor just wasn’t a good fit for me"
I signed up for surgent thinking the instructors would help break down the tougher material, but that wasn’t my experience. I was hoping for someone to make the confusing parts feel more manageable, and I just didn’t get that.
A lot of the lessons felt like the instructor was basically reading off slides and moving through everything too quickly. When I got stuck, the explanations didn’t really make things click, so I ended up looking up outside resources to understand what I had already paid to learn.

Maybe this teaching style works for other people, but it really didn’t work for me. For the price, I think it’s only fair to expect clearer instruction and better support instead of feeling like you’re mostly teaching yourself...

"I really didn’t like how the study plan..."
I really didn’t like how the study plan works. It feels super locked in, and when my schedule changed, it was way harder than it should’ve been to adjust things. If I missed a few days, it didn’t help me get back on track, it just made me feel even more behind. For the price, I expected a lot more flexibility. I also don’t really trust customer service to be much help with stuff like this, so that made the whole thing feel even more frustrating. Maybe it works for people with a very predictable routine, but it wasn’t a good fit for me

"Site kept giving me problems..."
I had a frustrating time using Surgent. Pages were loading really slowly, the videos kept freezing, and a few of the quizzes just... wouldn’t save properly. I even tried switching browsers, but the same problems kept happening. For something I paid for, I expected it to be a lot more reliable. It ended up feeling like more of a headache than it was worth.

"Helpful, but a little uneven"
Some of the practice questions were actually useful, but a few of them felt outdated or worded in a weird way. It helped overall, just not all of it felt super clear.

"Support got back to me fast"
I ran into a login issue on surgent.com and reached out to support, not really knowing how long it would take. To their credit, they got back to me sooner than I expected, within a few hours, and the steps they sent were easy to follow and ended up fixing the problem.

I’m giving 4 stars only because I did have to ask one follow-up question since the first reply missed a small detail. Still, they were responsive and helpful, and it gave me confidence that if something comes up, there’s a real support team paying attention.

"Course felt kind of outdated..."
The course content felt outdated to me. Some of the lessons were confusing too, and I found myself having to look things up elsewhere just to make sense of it!

"Adaptive learning helped me stay on track"
The practice was solid and definitely helped me keep moving in the right direction. A few explanations felt a little rushed, though, so I had to go back and figure some things out on my own.
